What is Sale-A-Bration and how to get free items

Sale-a-bration is my favourite Stampin’ Up! promotion simply because you can earn exclusive products for free! This year we are getting spoiled. In past years, the Sale-A-Bration promotion only occurred once a year. This year it’s been offered twice with the current promotion being the second in 2021. This promotional period began August 3 and ends September 30, 2021. Let me explain how Sale-A-Bration works and we’ll take a look at the free products being offered during the promotion.

How Sale-A-Bration works

For every $60 and $120 you spend on ANY Stampin’ Up! product, you’ll earn an exclusive Sale-A-Bration item for free! Depending on the amount you spend, you’ll be able to mix ‘n’ match the Sale-A-Bration items you earn.

FREE WITH $60-PURCHASE

When you spend $60 or more, you can select one of these items for free:

Sale-A-Bration HOST

When you spend $375 or more, you can earn the host stamp set for free:

During this round of Sale-A-Bration, some products will only be available while supplies last. This means that once they’re gone, they’re gone for good! The Sale-A-Bration products with limited supply include:

  • Be Dazzling 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Specialty Paper
  • Sheep Dies
  • Summer Shadows Dies

All other Sale-A-Bration products will be available throughout the promotion. High demand can send these products into backorder and delay shipping, but the supply will not run out. All orders placed will be honoured.

Coordinating Sale-A-Bration products

While you’re browsing, be sure to look at the coordinating products from the July–December 2021 Mini Catalog you can pair with your fabulous Sale-A-Bration finds! For example, the Penguin Playmates paper on page 4 of the Sale-a-bration catalogue coordinates with the Penguin Place Bundle (156789) on page  33 from the July–December 2021 Mini Catalog.

My favourite coordinating product is the Beautifully Penned paper that coordinates with Hand-Penned Petals bundle on page 105 of the Annual Catalogue. The Hand-Penned Bundle is $63.75, so you would get the Beautifully Penned paper for free with the purchase of the bundle because the paper is part of the free with $60 purchase category.

Shopping during Sale-A-Bration

Through my online store, the Sale-A-Bration shopping experience is really easy. When you reach a qualifying purchase amount required to earn a free Sale-A-Bration item, the shop will let you know by highlighting the “rewards” icon which looks like a gift box in the upper right-hand corner. This will allow you to choose from multiple reward options depending on the total amount of your shopping cart. Before checking out, you can easily select which products you want.

If you would rather contact me to make an order, please feel free to do that as well. I’d be happy to help.

Do you need a catalogue? If you would like a paper copy of any of the current Stampin’ Up! Catalogues, again, please feel free to contact me and I’ll get you one.

Inspiration for Sale-A-Bration

I received my free products and the first thing I had to play with was the Delicate Dahlia stamp set. I love the versatility of this set. I can stamp the Dahlia as line art, stamp the other Distinktive Dahlia stamp on its own or combine them because it is also a Two-Step Stampin’ set.

The other Sale-A-Bration items I got were:

  • Be Dazzling specialty paper
  • Penguin Playmates paper
  • Beautifully Penned paper
  • Peaceful Prints paper
  • Texture & Frames stamp set

I haven’t had an opportunity to play with them all just yet but I’ve been jotting down notes of all the ideas I have for each item.

I did spend quite a bit of time making cards with the Delicate Dahlias stamp set. I have a few designs to share with you and I even “Cased the Catty” for one of them to get my creativity going. If you are not sure what that means, it’s when you copy one of the cards from the catalogue. I talked about making cards from the catalogue in my previous post, How to find card making ideas and inspiration. I find the catalogues a great way to get crafting.

I’ll be sharing my Delicate Dahlias cards soon and I’ll have other cards and projects from the Sale-a-bration free items to share as well during the entire promotion.
